For the fourth consecutive year, the John Wall Family Foundation hosted it’s Back to School Field Day in Washington D.C. and Raleigh, N.C. To host this year’s field day the foundation partnered with the DC Public Library and Department of Parks and Recreation in Washington and the Salvation Army of Wake County in Raleigh.  Wall distributed a total of 500 backpacks filled with school supplies, such as pencils, notebooks, folders, and t-shirts courtesy of the John Wall Family Foundation.  Students enjoyed interactive activities, games, vendors, music, and giveaways.

The John Wall Family Foundation (JWFF) and Giant Food of Landover, MD. partnered to host a Wall's Thanksgiving Day Assist dinner for students of Malcom X Elementary School in Washington, DC on Friday, November 18. The 2015 NBA Cares Seasonlong Community Assist Award winner, John Wall was joined by his mother Frances Pulley helped served dinner and distribute turkeys to the families in attendance. The turkeys were provide courtesy of JWFF and Giant Food.

John Wall and the John Wall Family Foundation (JWFF) hosted their third annual Back to School Backpack giveaway on Saturday, August 20, 2016, at Malcom X Elementary School  in Washington D.C. This year's giveaway featured a block party complete with interactive games, moon bounces, community vendors, face painters and 250 JWFF branded backpacks filled with brand new school supplies.


A special thank you to all of the partners who helped make this day possible, Signet, Chick-fil-A, Chipotle, DC Public Library, the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Washington, the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children, the Give Back Collaborative, Panini, the Washington Animal Rescue League, the Department of Health and the Washington Wizards.


This was Wall's second Back to School Backpack giveaway this month. The first one took place in his hometown of Raleigh, NC on August 6 at the Boys and Girls Club of Wake County.

The John Wall Family Foundation (JWFF) partnered with Sean John to present Fitted. Seniors from high schools in the Washington, D.C. area were fitted with tuxedos for their prom courtesy of Sean John. This year, 10 students had the opportunity to be styled and dressed by Sean John’s tailored suit collection. The various proms will take place in late May and early June. 

The John Wall Family Foundation hosted a group of young men ages 11 to 18 from the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Washington’s Passport to Manhood initiative to a dinner at Joe’s Seafood, Prime Steak and Stone Crab in Washington, D.C. Passport to Manhood represents a targeted effort to engage young boys in discussions and activities that reinforce character, leadership and positive behavior. The gentlemen were then gifted tickets to the Washington Wizards home game versus the Memphis Grizzlies. After the game the entire group was able to pose for a group picture with John on the court.

The John Wall Family Foundation ​partnered with the Family Resource Center of Raleigh, Inc. (FRC) to donate 300 Thanksgiving baskets to various organizations in the Raleigh area on Saturday, November 21. Members of the Wall family were joined by the team Wall AAU basketball team to distribute the baskets. Each basket contained a turkey, cans of corn and green beans, stuffing and mashed potato mix. Deserving families from the following organizations received baskets: Wake County Human Services, Step Up Ministries, SafeChild, Raleigh Housing Authority, and Oak City Baptist Church. 

John Wall and the JWFF hosted their second annual Back 2 School #2SQUAD giveaway in Raleigh, NC and Washington, D.C. Wall distributed 300 custom adidas JW backpacks filled with school supplies, pens, pencils, notebooks and folders. #2SQUAD t-shirts and Sean John Big Dream t-shirts were provided as well.
